The roadworks department of Chile’s public works ministry (MOP) has launched a 12.5bn-peso (US$15mn) tender to improve a 5.8km stretch of route 7, also called the Austral highway, in Aysén region.
The contract involves improvements between the Chucao bridge and Queulat hill, ear the Queulat National Park, accordint to tender documents.
The tender does not include paving the same stretch, which will be covered in a later stage.
Technical bids will be opened on January 14, while economic bids will be unveiled on January 21. D
